Thessaloniki: Three out of ten artisans find it difficult to pay the electricity – Biggest challenge is accuracy – 2024-05-03 02:04:58

Accuracy is not only a concern for consumers but also for small businesses. Three out of ten crafts in Thessaloniki have difficulty paying for electricity according to the latest financial barometer, the survey carried out by the polling company Interview, on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of Thessaloniki and concerning the period March-April. Also, 25% consider the accuracy and revaluation of raw materials to be the main challenge.

To the question “what are the main challenges facing your business?”

  • 25.2% answered the accuracy and continuous revaluations of raw materials,
  • 15.2% the coverage of monthly obligations,
  • 14.9% the changing tax framework,
  • 14.7% finding specialized staff,
  • 14.7% also answered the lack of liquidity
  • 8.7% intense competition,
  • 6.6% indicated access to finance as a key challenge.

In terms of liabilities, it is more difficult for crafts to pay their bills (electricity, etc.) as 30.9% answered that they find it difficult to cope, while 24.9% find it difficult to pay their suppliers. 15.4% find it difficult to pay installments for overdue debts, 15% to cover insurance contributions, while 13.8% to pay salaries.

54% consider the state of their businesses satisfactory, 34% characterize it as “good”, while 12% as “bad”.
