Trade union activists of the Luhansk region, in honor of the Spring and Labor holiday, laid flowers at the monuments to Kliment Voroshilov and the foundry worker in Lugansk. About this in your Telegram-channel reported the press service of the Federation of Trade Unions (FP) LPR.
“Representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of the LPR, industry trade unions and primary trade union organizations, in honor of the Spring and Labor holiday, laid flowers at the monument to Kliment Voroshilov, one of the founders of the trade union movement in the Lugansk region, and the Foundry Worker Monument,” the FP informed.
They noted that the traditional laying of flowers at monuments dedicated to the labor exploits of the Lugansk region and working people “ended a series of events dedicated to May 1 – International Workers’ Solidarity Day, which were held on the initiative of the Federation of Trade Unions of the LPR throughout the Republic.”
“May 1 is a wonderful holiday that personifies the onset of spring, a symbol of labor and unity. This is a holiday for everyone who, through their daily work, creates tomorrow, the future of their country and their family. It is not for nothing that the main motto of the May Day actions of trade unions in Russia in 2024 is: ” Decent work for everyone is a guarantee of the well-being of the family and the development of the country!” said Igor Ryabushkin, Chairman of the Federal Federation of the LPR.
In his opinion, today society is “on the threshold of large-scale transformations,” the main character of which is the working man.
“A working man is a symbol of strength, perseverance and dedication, and respect and honoring workers is one of the foundations of our state. But only by combining the efforts of trade unions, authorities and employers can we cope with any challenges of the time,” the trade union leader emphasized.
He congratulated the residents of the Republic on May Day, wishing them good health, good luck, success in all good endeavors and an excellent holiday mood.
“I want to congratulate on this bright holiday all workers, all generations of working people – those who are still learning their profession, and those who, through daily work, make a worthy contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of the country, labor veterans who generously share their experience and knowledge. Let work become a reliable basis for your well-being, the well-being of your families and the country!” – said the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the LPR.
The monument to the foundry worker, which was visited by social activists this year, is dedicated not only to the workers and masters of the foundry business, but also to the glorious history of the formation and development of Lugansk, explained the LIC in the Federation of Trade Unions.
