The Colombian president, Gustavo Petro, announced today, Wednesday, that starting tomorrow, Thursday, Colombia will break diplomatic relations with Israel.
Petro maintained from the Plaza de Bolívar in the city of Bogotá, within the framework of International Workers’ Day, that the reason for this break in relations with Israel is because of having a “genocidal president.”
“It cannot be, it cannot return, the times of genocide, of the extermination of an entire people before our eyes, before our passivity, cannot come,” said the Colombian president.
“If Palestine dies, humanity dies and we are not going to let it die,” the president warned in the middle of the crowd that marched in support of his Government.
