Details: A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said Beijing “asks the US to stop criticizing and sanctioning China and stop the senseless use of illegal and unilateral sanctions.”
“China will take all necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies,” he said.
According to him, Beijing is “not the creator or the party” to Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine and has the right to develop normal trade relations with all countries, including the Russian Federation.
“China has always strongly opposed the United States’ use of illegal and unilateral sanctions against Chinese enterprises and the exercise of ‘long-finger jurisdiction,'” he said.
The day before, the US Treasury Department and the State Department announced the introduction of sanctions against nearly 200 individuals and legal entities that contribute to Russia’s military-industrial complex and help circumvent restrictions already in place.
Under the influence of American sanctions, in particular, hit nearly 60 entities from Azerbaijan, Belgium, China, the Russian Federation, Slovakia, Turkey and the UAE, which will give Russia the opportunity to acquire the technologies and equipment necessary for its military-industrial complex from abroad.
