He categorically denied the prime minister Socrates Famous regarding the connection of the revision of the Codes in 2019 with the sentences – “caress” of those convicted for the tragedy in Eye.
“I unequivocally deny Mr. Mitsotakis” said the head of the SYRIZA KO from the floor of the Parliament and added: “It is a very big lie, there is not the slightest change connected to Mati”.
Previously, the prime minister, who left the Plenary immediately after his appointment, had reproduced the claim that the lenient sentences of the defendants for the tragedy with 104 deaths are linked to the change of the Criminal Code during the SYRIZA government.
In addition, Mr. Famellos cited her attitude as an example Renas Douros during the process of dispensing justice, urging them Christos Triantopoulos, Zoe Rapti, Michalis Papadopoulos and Thanos Pleuris to do the same and request that the court proceedings be expedited.
“Mitsotakis should dismiss Vartzopoulos”
Referring to the obscurantist statements of DEmitris VartzopoulosMr. Famellos wondered why he was not in the Plenary and asked the (absent) Prime Minister to dismiss him.
In closing, Mr. Famellos spoke of the need to create a “democratic alliance” with “an initiative of all democratic citizens” in order to give “a first signal of reversal” ahead of the European elections.
