(PressFire.no): Bethesda has revealed the next big update to “Starfield” that will arrive in a few weeks.
The most immediate change is that the maps on the various planets have been completely revised and are likely to be usable this time around.
The game also gets a new “true” difficulty level, and you will now be able to set limits and difficulty level individually for parts of the game.
For example, you will be able to decide whether you gain health when you sleep, whether you turn up or down the damage you do, how much money merchants have, what you can carry and the like.
All of this affects how many experience points you earn.
A secret option in the menus that is not explained is “nutrition”, nutrition, which could mean that you could starve or be thirsty to death?
You also get to decorate the interior of your ships, where you can now also select ship parts that are completely empty so you can arrange the interior yourself.
On Xbox Series X, the game will get new modes for the graphics, where people can now choose between 30, 40 and 60 frames per second.
You will also be able to choose to turn off the zooming that happens when you talk to someone.
Some minor changes to the way the game displays your inventory are also coming, with better sorting options.
Bethesda also talked a little about what’s happening outside of the May update. For example, players will finally have access to a car that can be driven around the planets, and new quests are in the works – as well as the “Shattered Space” add-on pack that will come later on forward this year.
The Creation Engine, which is a modding tool for the game, has been sent out to modders for beta testing, Bethesda could reveal.
You can see more about the various updates coming on May 15 to Xbox and PC in the video below. For those impatient, the update is already out on Steam Beta!
