The Women and Family Commission approved an opinion that modifies Law 30364, Law to prevent, punish and eradicate violence against women and members of the family group, in order to promote a culture of violence prevention, empowerment and coordination intersectoral.
The proposal contained in bills 2921/2022-CR, 5770/2023-CR, 6310/2023-CR and 7427/2023-CR was approved by drafting and obtained 11 votes in favor, one against.
During the support of the opinion, Jáuregui de Aguayo stated that the modification of Law 30364 promotes more efficient actions to prevent violence against women and members of the family group.
“The creation of new prevention and surveillance mechanisms; As well as, the requirement of compliance with procedural deadlines and the registration of reasons for delay, will encourage the efficiency of the judicial system, which will lead to a prompt resolution of cases of violence against women and members of the family group. ”said Congresswoman Jáuregui.
The ruling establishes including training courses designed for the reeducation of aggressors. The results of the implementation of these courses will be reported to the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP), for evaluation and monitoring.
