On May 17, the town of Vuisternens-devant-Romont will install the new playground at the Hansel and Gretel school. In addition to the credit of 220,000 francs voted in December 2022, additional funds (40,000 francs) will come from the Roger Federer foundation. Since 2020, it has partnered with Radix (Swiss Health Foundation) and Zurich University of Applied Sciences to promote the “green yard” approach in Switzerland.

In addition to games that allow learning to continue during breaks, greenery has been added, including five trees to protect the area. This project “is the result of a participatory process between students, teachers, care outside the school and the city. The teaching team was then trained for the educational use of the renovated spaces,” affirms the city of Vuisternens-devant-Romont in its press release.
