According to figures from the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), the 60 % of pathogens that cause disease in humans and 75 % of emerging infectious diseases have a common origin in animals. This underlines the importance of maintaining the health and welfare of animals to safeguard public health.
Within the global framework of Animal Vaccination, MSD Colombia continues to contribute to the transformation of the Colombian countryside through different innovative tools for the vaccination of different species in the livestock sector. “Our role as Veterinarians is to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination in production animals, highlighting the need to comply with the protocols in the suggested times to achieve disease prevention, guaranteeing healthy animals that can ensure high-quality food. quality and food security for Colombians,” highlights Nelson Moreno, Technical Manager of Bio-pharma of the livestock Business Unit of MSD Animal Health in Colombia.
