Tragic Murder of 24-Year-Old Daequan Buckley in Brooklyn: Latest News and Updates

Daequan Buckley, a 24-year-old young man, was killed behind the wheel by a passenger inside a BMW luxury car in Brooklyn (NYC).

Buckley got several blows to the abdomen outside “Magic Fingers Studio” hair salon near E. 54th St. and Church Ave. in East Flatbush Saturday, the NYPD said. This was the 3rd murder this month in the limits of Police Station 67marked Daily News.

“The gunman was a passenger in the car and the victim was in the driver’s seat,” said a woman who works in the area and witnessed the bloodshed. “They were sitting together in the car.” He said the car had temporary paper plates. “The kind he shot him three times, He got out of the car and walked away… The area is terrible. I am not surprised to see this happening. I have been working in the area for two years. Not good.”

Paramedics took Buckley to Brookdale University Hospital, but were unable to save him. Police arrested two people, one with a gun, as suspected.

This massacre just happened a week later, on April 20, Anthony Lancaster (40), an immigrant winery owner, was killed at E. 53rd St. and Clarkson Ave. Three days earlier, Gamaliel Oliver (45) was also shot and killed on 98th Street near Lenox Road in East Flatbush.

The 67th Precinct has seen an increase in homicides this year, with seven cases as of April 21 compared to five at the same time last year.
