Ammon – Every April, Great Britain sees an orange marmalade competition, in which the jury pays attention to every detail, from the color to the container, all the way to the taste of this type of fruit with sugar.

The competition is held in a palace built centuries ago in the Lake District of England. The members of the jury who choose the winners give very detailed opinions. Around three thousand organizations were nominated for the competition this year. The number of participants shows the great development over almost twenty years of this competition, which was launched by the lord of the palace in Dalmen in 2005, because the number of competitors was not initially higher than sixty, and was limited to vessels made in the area.

The competition has two competitions in Japan and Australia.

The grand winner of the 2024 edition of the competition, Stephen Snead, received the highest honor for selling the marmalade he prepares for a year in the luxury stores “Fortnum & Mason”.

This 52-year-old accountant won the competition with two different flavors he mixed orange, green lime and hot pepper in one bowl, and in the other he combined green lime and cocoa cream.
