Gush Katif is still on the map

Even today, hundreds of travelers visit the Gush Katif heritage center in Nitzan, this year the center is participating in the ‘Matza and map’ project led by by the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites. Visiting the heritage center is free.

The trip to the center gives the family the opportunity to learn about the story of the Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip from biblical times, the story of the settlement is then presented by theater actors who attract the children’s attention in the sand on a beach that resembles the magical beaches of Gush Katif.

Along with the many exhibits and experiences, many enter the visitor center and learn more about the settlement campaign in the block, the struggle against segregation and the regrowth.

Mochi Bater, director of the center: “In the last few days, we have met travelers and families who wanted to learn more about the Gaza Strip, what has happened there over the generations. Lots and lots of questions about the conflict between Israel and Gaza We were happy to find out again that we are a great destination that combines films, shows and valuable experiences on the one hand For children and on on the other hand, for the benefit of adults, more quality and relevant content. The number of visitors shows that Gush Katif is still on the map and in our hearts*.
