ATTENTION DRIVERS: PARKING TOLLS WILL BEGIN IN KARKLA

Drivers are reminded that in the village of Karklė from May 1 the collection of the fee for parking in parking lots marked with a paid sign begins. The parking fee must be paid every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The toll season ends on September 15.

Toll is not applicable:

• For vehicles marked with special light (blue or blue and red) and sound signals or only special light signals, for vehicles of entities conducting or controlling criminal intelligence or pre-trial investigation, for scheduled transport, serving the established route;
• For vehicles marked with a parking card for disabled persons.

The toll is also exempt from green vehicles that meet both of the following conditions:

• In the vehicle, energy for mechanical movement is supplied only from the electric energy accumulator;
• The vehicle is equipped with only an electric drive. Drivers of hybrid vehicles, which are equipped with an internal combustion engine in addition to an electric accumulator or an electric drive, pay the local toll as drivers of conventional vehicles.

The tax does not apply to vehicles of the security service of the command of the Republic of Lithuania, used for the protection of protected persons and/or protected objects.
