The world must today pressure the members of the UN Security Council to immediately stop Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, said the Arab Parliament.
In a statement at the end of a meeting in this capital of that body and the heads of the Arab legislatures, the participants demanded the need to enforce the temporary measures adopted by the International Court of Justice in January on that conflict.
They denounced that the Palestinian people of that territory have been subjected, since October 7, 2023, to systematic and deliberate forced displacement.
At the same time, they accused Israel of carrying out massacres and war crimes in the coastal enclave, where more than two million people live.
In this regard, the text highlighted that since that date more than 100 thousand Palestinians have died, been injured or are missing.
They are suffering from hunger, the deadly siege that cuts off all livelihoods in the Strip and the systematic destruction of residential neighborhoods, hospitals and various facilities, he stressed.
The statement called for breaking the Israeli siege on the Strip and moving convoys of Arab and international humanitarian aid by land, sea and air, with food, medicine and fuel.
He also reaffirmed his rejection of the plans of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government to displace Gazans from the Palestinian territories.
