With the leadership of Emily Tévez and Fátima Avilés, Salvadoreñas beat Batanecas 72-65 in the first game of the semifinal series of the 2024 Apertura Tournament Copa Tigo Sports of the Major Basketball League (LMBF).

The first game of this series took place on the court of the Inclusive Sports City (CDI) with the presence of a good number of fans who enjoyed a good show. In the first period it was for Salvadoreñas after beating Batanecas 18-15.

The capitalians gave up space during the second quarter and Batanecas took advantage of the locals’ inattention to take the lead 11-22 and take the lead on aggregate 29-37.

However, the joy did not last for those from San Sebastián, as the insistence on the attack of the capital quintet paid off to bag the fourth by 19-13 and place themselves just two points behind their rival on the overall score 48-50.

The duel became more exciting at the end. With 8:30 minutes left to play, Bexi Claro, from Salvadoreñas, scored two points and made the score 50-50. Tévez joined the attack and contributed 12 important points so that the capital’s team sealed the episode decisively 24-15 and, with it, the final victory 72-65.

The second duel between both teams will take place on Saturday the 27th, when Batanecas receives Salvadoreñas at the Tacón de San Vicente Court.
