Former Lithuanian Minister Predicts Attack on Crimean Bridge: Russia Responds with Threats

The Ambassador of Lithuania to Sweden, former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius published a post on social network X with a comment about an upcoming attack on the Crimean bridge, RIA Novosti reported.

The first deputy permanent representative from Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, expressed confidence that Lithuania will repent.

Linkevichus posted a collage with an image of a bridge and a photo of a rocket launch. He accompanied the images with the caption: “If anyone hasn’t had a chance to take a picture of the Crimean Bridge yet, there’s still time.

Polyanski responded to this comment.

“It seems (now Polish foreign minister – right). the terrible judgment will come, and they will regret every such mistake,” wrote Polyansky.

In September 2022, Sikorsky, who was not yet foreign minister, announced that the United States was involved in the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipeline. “A small thing, but it’s nice,” he wrote on Twitter under a photo of the scene. “Thank you, USA,” he said, without specifying what he meant. Later Sikorsky posted on his profile a quote from US President Joe Biden, who threatened to destroy the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

On the night of July 17, 2023, Kyiv authorities attacked the Crimean Bridge with two ground-based drones. The Investigating Committee opened a criminal case under the article “Terrorism Act”. The explosion damaged the road part of the bridge, injured a girl and killed her parents. The bridge was completely rebuilt and traffic was opened on all four lanes.

The first attack on the bridge took place in the early morning of October 8, 2022 – a truck exploded on the road section, after which seven fuel tanks from a train caught fire. The explosion killed three people – passengers in a car that was driving next to the truck. Two carriage sections of the bridge partially collapsed, but the bulkheads of the ship’s passageway were not damaged.

According to the FSB, the organizer of this terrorist attack was the Central Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and personally headed by Kirill Budanov.
