Russian journalist mocks statements by José Cueto in which he assures that the “axis of evil” seeks to destabilize Peru

The Russian journalist Inna Afinogenova mocked the statements of Congressman José Cueto (Popular Renewal), who assured that a group of countries that he called “the axis of evil” are trying to destabilize the country.

As recalled, the legislator and former head of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces told RPP that the crisis unleashed by questions about the origin of President Dina Boluarte’s Rolex watches was the work of foreign agents.

“They are playing tricks on this whole caviar world, on all this redness and this does not come from here. This comes from outside, there is a whole strong conglomerate (…) of the entire axis of evil, call it Cuba, Venezuela, Iran, Russia. That whole axis is managing to try to destabilize Peru,” Cueto asserted on that occasion.

Given this, the Russian journalist and her fellow panel members, among them, the Spanish politician Pablo Iglesias, laughed at José Cueto Aservi’s theory, ensuring that he had “forgotten” to mention North Korea, a country that would surely also be involved in the destabilizing plot.

“Cuba, as everyone knows, is very famous for manufacturing Rolex. The 17 times that Dina Boluarte went out with 17 different watches, it is because the Cuban and Venezuelan agents put them on her wrist without her realizing it,” one of the presenters said mockingly.
