As reported Mayor of Lutsk Ihor Polishchuk, Oleksandr Yushchenko died while performing a combat mission in the area of ​​Dolynske settlement of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The brigade says that the defender began his military career in 2005, having trained as a tanker driver, and within a year became a unit commander.

He returned to military affairs in 2014, not remaining aloof from the defense of the homeland. As part of the Omega special unit, he took part in hostilities in the East of the country. He was awarded a firearm and the Order “For Courage” III degree.

In 2015, he was one of the founders of the formation of the 4th operational brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine “Rubizh”.

In 2018, he became the commander of the department in the 25th separate public order protection brigade of NSU.

In 2022, he was mobilized for a special period to the SSO of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he transferred to the 5th separate brigade of NSU.

Began service in the 13th brigade of operational assignment of NSU “Charter” from April 2023. He was immediately appointed to the position of chief sergeant of the brigade. Oleksandr Mykhailovych said: “Don’t be afraid to be uncomfortable, sharp, demanding. Now you are instilling in the soldiers the knowledge and skills that can save their lives.”
