High Solar Activity Forecasted for April 27-28, 2024: Impact on Human Health and Equipment

A forecast of solar and geomagnetic activity for April 27-28 2024 published US Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Space Weather Forecast Center.

Geomagnetic storms are classified according to power level – K index – from 2 to 9. The higher the K index, the stronger the storm and the impact it has on people and equipment.

Note that the forecast may still change, as solar activity researchers update their data every three hours.

Saturday, April 27th, solar activity is expected with a K index of 4 (yellow level), which corresponds to strong magnetic disturbances that affect human well-being. And on Sunday April 28thit is expected that the activity of the sun will decrease to index K 3 (green level) – a weak effect on the human body.
