A noble grave with an initial dating of the 2nd century BC. discovered the rheologists from the TEMP expedition. The grave is located on “Popova Mogila” near the Sliven village of Trapoklovo, informed the director of the Regional History Museum in Sliven Georgi Kyupchukov.
A massive gold ring with a black stone was found, as well as three gold ornaments to place around the neck. Archaeologists also came across shoes. In all likelihood, they are women’s, they are made of leather and fabric. A richly ornamented ivory coffin with bronze fittings containing women’s ornaments was also discovered. Excavations indicate that many ceramics and bronze objects were also laid during the burial.
