However, Emme Arias lost 1-3 to Hidalynn Zapata with scores of 7-11, 9-11, 11-3 and 4-11, leaving the series tied 1-1. Cristina Machado once again overtook the locals in the series after beating Stefanie Orellana 3-2 with sets 6-11, 7-11, 11-7, 11-9 and 11-6.

Subsequently, Suarez could not beat Zapata, who defeated her 1-3 and allowed Guatemala to tie the series 2-2. In the duel that defined the duel of countries, Arias lost 1-3 against Cux with sets 9-11, 5-11, 11-8 and 14-16.
