Index – Economy – Primark’s Budapest store will open on May 28

On an area of more than 3,100 square meters, Primark’s one-story store in Arena Mall will offer customers the latest fashion trends at affordable prices. Its product range includes women’s, men’s and children’s clothes, as well as home furnishing items, as well as beauty care products and accessories – Primark announced in a statement.

As written, Primark is committed to offering more sustainable products at affordable prices. Already 55 percent of its clothes are made using materials from recycled or more sustainable sources, and they aim to increase this to 100 percent by 2030.

The opening in Budapest is a significant milestone in Primark’s global expansion plans: Hungary is the fashion company’s 17th market worldwide and its 6th market in Central and Eastern Europe, which clearly shows that the region remains key to the development of the brand’s store network

says the statement.

Maciej Podwojski, head of Primark Central and Eastern Europe, said: “We are very pleased to be able to bring Primark’s famous and affordable fashion to customers in Hungary for the first time in May. We announced our intention to enter the market in January 2023, and we can’t wait to open our doors soon.”

As he said, Arena Mall is one of the largest and busiest shopping centers in Budapest: this is a fantastic opportunity for them to show even more customers what a special shopping experience Primark offers.

A spokesperson for Arena Mall added:

Arena Mall is known to always keep the needs of fashion-oriented and trend-sensitive customers in mind and strives for the widest and highest quality international store and brand offer. Our shopping center is proud that the worldwide popular Primark also chose Arena Mall as the location of its very first store in Hungary. We wish Primark the best of luck in entering the domestic market in Arena Mall!

They added that in 2024, it will be five years since Primark entered the CEE region, opening its first store in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in June 2019.

The fashion chain currently operates 12 stores in five markets: Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia. In addition to the opening in Budapest, Primark is continuing its ambitious expansion plans in the Central and Eastern European region: in the next year, it will open stores in Timisoara in Romania, Prague in the Czech Republic and Bydgoszcz in Poland.
