Gallery will be open from 10am to 7pm, with exhibitions available until February 29.
At the vibrant contemporary art space NOW: Gallery, located at Av. Los Conquistadores 780, San Isidro, art lovers have the opportunity to explore a series of exhibitions for free during the month of February. The gallery, recognized for being a beacon of innovation, is presented as the perfect setting for those seeking to immerse themselves in contemporary art.
‘Business / Thresholds’, Miguel Ángel Polick’s first solo exhibition at the gallery, invites visitors to an intriguing mix of paintings, drawings and objects. The deep exploration of entertainment, memory and the arrival of the new millennium merges with Japanese animation and the Lima atmosphere. Polick uses photorealism to celebrate the outward appearance of everyday objects, focusing on neighborhood businesses and examining what their closed doors, advertising spaces, and stickers tell us.
The group exhibition ‘Anatomy of Fictions’, curated by Tarissa Revilla and Mariafernanda Marquez, reveals the intersection between the real and the imaginary. Seven artists, both local and international, explore the deconstruction of materiality, inviting art lovers to an encounter between the organic and synthetic.
Finally, ‘Remains of something not quite alive’ by Krizia León-Porta, curated by Rafael Mayu, uses painting to explore the landscape as a form of representation and the social configuration of the body.
NOW: Gallery will be open from 10am to 7pm, with exhibitions available until February 29. In addition, guided tours and talks will be offered on different dates. For more information, you can access his Instagram @thisisnow.art.
