The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), through the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (Devida), has launched the call to apply for 770 comprehensive scholarships in 11 courses on the prevention of drug use. The initiative is aimed at professionals in the community, health and education fields.
Registration to apply for the scholarships will be open until April 30, 2024, and the information about them and the courses can be consulted through WhatsApp, at the numbers 989 273 682/956 727 975, from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; or at the following link: https://sistemas.devida.gob.pe/becas/#/inicio.
In the classes, which will begin on May 8 and will last between three and eight weeks, students will be able to acquire, expand and exchange information to strengthen interventions, programs and projects at the national level in prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of drug use.
Courses
In relation to the community level, 210 scholarships will be allocated for the courses: Community Participation Models for the Prevention of Drug Use; Foundations for Reducing Drug Demand in Families in Vulnerable Situations, and Foundations for Community Intervention with Children and Adolescents in Situations of Vulnerability and/or Risk of Drug Use.
Regarding the educational field, 280 scholarships will be available for the courses: Fundamentals for Selective Prevention in Drug Demand Reduction; Socio-emotional Skills and their Relationship with Drug Use in the Educational Field; Coping Skills with Drug Use, and Design of workshops for fathers and mothers aimed at preventing drug use.
Regarding the health field, there are 280 scholarships for the courses: Fundamentals of Social Reintegration for the Treatment of Drug Use; Drug Abuse Treatment Training-Volume A, and Socio-Emotional Skills to Promote Adherence to Drug Abuse Treatment.
