Andrey Yarmolenko Talks Dynamo Kyiv Victory and Expectations for Upcoming Match – Ukrainian Championship

– After a victory, the feeling is always great. Besides that, we won Polesie with confidence and, I think, we played well. The training was better than a recovery one, we are preparing for the next game.

– Vladimir Brazhko returned to training, what does this mean for the team?

– We have about 25 players in the team, and everyone is ready to play. Of course, Vladimir Brazhko has become an important player for Dynamo this season, so for us it’s just a return to action.

– How do you evaluate 2024, especially the spring part of the season, in terms of team play and results?

– It is still difficult to analyze all the matches, because there were both good fights and unsuccessful ones. If we want to be champions, we cannot lose points in games like at home with LNZ, when the game was completely successful for us, we were leading 1:0 and controlled events, but at in the end we played 1:1, and “Veres” when they lost the victory in the last minutes. At the end of the season, these points may not be enough for us.

– After returning to Dynamo, you haven’t played in Dnipro yet, what are your memories of the matches in this city?

– Of course, the atmosphere that was in the stadiums before and what it is now is different, but what can you do? Our job is to go out and play football, no matter what happens there.

– Every time you enter the field, the fans support you, do you feel it?

– Of course, I feel the support. That’s why I came home. I love and respect them too, so I will continue to give all my strength to make our fans happy.

– They say that the game with Polesye was great in terms of defensive and attacking cohesion, do you agree with this?

– It is difficult to say if this is the best game, maybe it is still ahead, or if it was before Polesye. But it is a fact that we played well both in attack and defence. Moreover, this applies not only to attacking football players or defensive players, but to the whole team, because everyone attacked and defended well . Especially against such an opponent as Polesie, which I consider a strong team. In addition, we had good motivation to take revenge after losing on the road in the first round.

– What should we expect from the next match with Dnepr-1?

– Probably a difficult game, both for us and for them. We have our actions, they have their actions. Our matches have never been easy for anyone, so, I repeat, we expect a heavy game. But now every game is like a final. We understand very well that if we lose points somewhere else, we can forget about the competition.
