The Ministry of Public Works delivered the first of 100 fields that will generate a positive impact on the lives of thousands of children and young people in areas that for decades were oppressed by violence.
Colonia El Milagro, in the Agua Escondida canton, in the municipality of San Juan Opico, La Libertad, was the first beneficiary, who will now have a space where its inhabitants can meet and practice sports, staying away from bad habits. .
“In the 14 departments we are going to be intervening so that children and young people can have spaces for healthy recreation, in those most forgotten and most remote places in the country,” remarked the Minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez.
This project has an investment that exceeds 1.5 million dollars, with which these spaces will be rehabilitated and created from scratch.
Apopa, Ilopango, San Francisco Gotera, Coatepeque, Ahuachapán, San Martín, San Pedro Nonualco, Juayúa, Sensuntepeque, Jujutla; These are some of the districts in which chanchas are about to be delivered. These sports spaces will have adequate lighting and synthetic grass that will be maintained, all for the benefit of the communities.
