Sadílek does not rule out a longer stay at FC Twente

Michal Sadílek is the FC Twente player who would make the most sense if he were to make a move. The 24-year-old midfielder is having an excellent season, will play at the European Championships with the Czech Republic next summer and will run out of contract next summer. However, a transfer of Sadílek, who came from PSV for 1.5 million euros in mid-2022 after a rental period, has not yet been set in stone.

FC Twente recently included the option in Sadílek’s contract, with which he will also be under contract at De Grolsch Veste next season. “That was also the expectation,” Sadílek said in conversation with the Czech Republic Live sports. “Otherwise I would be out of contract next summer. Neither I nor the club wanted that. If I play at the European Championships, that could bring something to Twente. So it was a logical step.”

Sadílek indicates that he would like to make a move, but at the same time does not rule out staying at FC Twente longer. “I like it here. It is a beautiful club with great supporters and a great history. I wouldn’t mind playing for FC Twente for another year,” concludes Sadílek, who has an estimated market value of six million euros.

Opinion: Would you sell or keep Sadílek this summer, knowing his contract expires after next season? Let me know in the comments.
