Robert Koltai it was tuesday I give my day main character, he talked live in the evening with Péter Gezsti in the studio. The presenter then, among other things, about asked the 80-year-old actor, which he enjoys more: performing in front of small or large audiences.
A large audience is a big plus for me, because it’s wonderful when you feel the love and attention flowing towards you. I don’t play in a big theater, but in my independent evenings I always meet a very large audience, and that’s true happiness
– said Koltai, and then went on to explain why he is not a company member in any stone theater:
I’m not a child anymore, it’s natural that people over eighty are not played with so much.
The actor added: it is not up to him, as he would very much like to play in big theaters, however, he considers it completely satisfying how he can connect with the audience on his solo evenings.
The relationship with the audience does not depend on the name of the theater, but on having a full house, curiosity, love, and then there will be jokes, drama, laughter, tears… So I don’t have a lack of theater from this point of view.
