The Israeli army announced that its warplanes and artillery units attacked around 40 sites in southern Lebanon on Wednesday, alleging that they had been used by Hezbollah.
An Israeli military spokesman indicated in a statement that the attacks were carried out in the Ayta ash Shab area, in southern Lebanon, against Hezbollah targets, including warehouses, weapons and infrastructure.
According to the spokesman, Hezbollah fighters had used the area for military purposes.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant today toured the Israel-Lebanon border, where Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire since October 8, 2023, and held a meeting with commanders to assess the situation.
According to Gallant, since the beginning of the border conflict, Israel has killed “about half” of Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon, citing 40.
