These days with the situation prevailing in the Middle East, with the war in Gaza, and with the attack by Iranian drones on Israel, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a (almost… warlike) plan is being made to bring the Holy Light to Greece on Great Saturday .
According to BIMAtodoti, the general order is given to the Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgos Kotsiras, who already met with the Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher for the details of the plan. Because the situation in Israel is fluid, the deputy minister wants a compact operation for the Holy Light. That is, the transfer should take place, without delays, by a government plane and the necessary people should be on it (at most 15 people, including priests, politicians and policemen).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant contact with the Greek diplomatic services in Israel and is ready to adapt this operational plan if the situation in Israel changes, the BIMAtodoti emphasizes.
Now all that was done in the past, i.e. reception of the Holy Light with honors of the head of state, forget them. A modest ceremony will take place at the airport El. Venizelos and nothing else. While Aegean Airlines and Sky Express planes will carry the Holy Light throughout Greece.
