The president of the Council of Ministers, Gustavo Adrianzén Olaya, and the supreme judge, Elvia Barrios Alvarado, inaugurated, this Monday the 15th, the Transitory Mixed Legal Peace Court of the Parcoy district, in order to strengthen the presence of the State in the province of Pataz (Liberty).
“The inauguration of this new headquarters, in an emblematic area of the north of the country, is a transcendental step in the firm and iron fight that we are waging against citizen insecurity and organized crime,” said the head of the Ministerial Cabinet.
Premier Adrianzén stated that the extension of the state of emergency in Pataz, for 60 calendar days, is essential to ensure social peace in the province. “Since yesterday, the National Police assumed control of internal order with the support of the Peruvian Army,” he said.
In addition, he reiterated the Government’s willingness to implement more flagrante delicto units at the national level, including Pataz, with the aim of prosecuting, within a period of no more than 72 hours, those who commit crimes such as theft, robbery, illegal possession of weapons, among others. others.
“All institutions have to work together to guarantee the peace, security and tranquility of our citizens,” he added.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defense, Walter Astudillo, and the regional governor of La Libertad, César Acuña Peralta, who pointed out that the presence of the head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) demonstrates the interest of the Executive with the development of the town.
