A new job portal has arrived Playa Ancha University (UPLA), hand in hand with the portal trabajando.com, with the purpose of encouraging job placement, through exclusive offers for the university community. This platform is aimed mainly at students looking for professional practice, as well as the graduate community looking for job offers.
The initiative is part of the work plan of the General Directorate of Student Development (DGDE) and the Institutional Coordination of Monitoring of Graduates (UCSE), dependent on the General Directorate of Linkage with the Environment (DGVM), which aim to strengthen the development of students in their university life, and the labor insertion of graduates.
The UCSE coordinator, Daniela Casanueva Valdés, He explained that this initiative arose from the concerns they received from graduates about job offers and from requests from employers, who are contracted with the Unit for job offers to graduates of the University.
Casanueva also explained that having this job portal allows “companies and institutions to directly publish their job offers on an exclusive platform for our university. That our graduates can access a job portal with job offers aimed at them. And finally, it allows us to optimize this area and monitor the job offers and job placement of our graduates.”
From the DGDE, its director, Boris González López, He described this opportunity as significant, arguing that “any type of early work experience that can be acquired is significant, because they are young people, men, women, who are always trying to find the best material conditions for their lives.”
