With a video posted on Tik Tok, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis invites interested citizens to submit their application to the epistoliki.ypes.gov.gr platform by Monday in order to vote by mail from wherever they are.
“If you see this video before M. Monday listen very carefully. Also, if you work seasonally, if you study in another city or take exams, if you find it difficult to travel or if you simply want to go for a swim on June 9, pay attention”, says the Prime Minister.
“Until Holy Monday, April 29, you can submit your application on the epistoliki.ypes.gov.gr platform to vote by mail from wherever you want,” he points out.
He also clarifies that “perhaps there is a feeling that the postal vote only concerns Greeks living abroad. But the truth is that it concerns every Greek woman and every Greek citizen, who wants to vote without being required to be physically present at the polling station, saving both time and money. Thus, for the FIRST time in the history of our country, the participation of citizens in the elections is actually facilitated.”
As the prime minister emphasizes “especially our elderly fellow citizens, our fellow citizens with disabilities, young children who work seasonally, students, students who may be preparing for their nationwide exams”.
And he concludes: “We already have over 115,000 applications and this is very important because every time you participate in the electoral process, whichever party you support, you ultimately support the Republic itself. Abstinence is NOT an answer. You now have one more reason and an easier way to participate in the elections.
