Greg Scott scored the decisive goal in the 3–1 win against Djurgården.
Brynä’s hero also played with a broken hamstring almost the entire playoffs.
– It was just something to play through, he says.
Greg Scott, like the rest of the team, was very happy after Brynäs’ promotion to the SHL.
The 35-year-old Canadian played a key role in the fourth round when he set up Brynäs’ second goal.
– Djurgården is good and played good hockey, credit to them. But we played so well and it was an amazing year. I can’t say enough words, I’m speechless, he says.
But Scott played in pain from March 21. Then he broke his toe in the last third quarter game against Nybro.
– I can tell you about that now, but there were no major problems, he says.
– I felt something and I went to the hospital and they said it was broken. It was just something to play through, we have a great medical staff here.

“Playoffs – the only answer”
How do you play with a broken toe?
– Playoffs, that’s the only answer.
The 35-year-old, who made his fifth consecutive season in Brynäs, almost had trouble finding the words afterwards.
– Right now it feels like I’m 20 years ahead of all of them, he says and points to Brynä’s heel.
