Its supreme leader Iran, Ali Khamenei publicly thanked the country’s armed forces today for their April 13 operation against him Israel, as Iran’s official news agency reported on Sunday, calling on them to “relentlessly pursue military innovation and learn the enemy’s tactics.”
Israel launched an attack on Iranian soil on Friday, days after Iran launched a historic strike directly targeting Israeli territory with a barrage of drones and missiles, most of which were shot down.

The Iranian strike was in response to an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus on April 1, which killed at least 11 people, including a senior commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps’ al-Quds force.
As a result, the long shadow war between the two sides came to be added to the war that has been raging for months in the Gaza Strip and to the ever-escalating military confrontations on the Lebanon-Israel border.
