MTA Worker Pepper-Sprayed in Bronx Subway Attack: Latest News and Updates

An MTA worker was pepper-sprayed after asking a woman to get on the No. 1 subway train in the Bronx. this Monday morning, according to police sources.

The 53-year-old cleaner was working on the train at the subway station Van Cortland Park-242nd Street in Kingsbridge around 4:27 a.m. when he asked the sleeping person to leave, authorities explained.

It was at that time that the suspect sprayed the employee in the face with pepper spray.New York Police Department (NYPD) officials said.

The victim was taken to Allen Presbyterian Hospital in New York. The woman fled the scene on foot.the officers noted and reported Pix 11 News.
