Under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI, the 10th edition of the Casablanca Insurance Meeting took place successfully on April 17 and 18, 2024. This crucial platform for debate, exchange and networking attracted more than 1000 participants from 40 nationalities, including more than 600 Moroccan professionals from the insurance sector.
During this event, advanced discussions were held on insurance in the context of increasing uncertainties and emerging risks. The event was also marked by the signing of a technical agreement between the Moroccan Insurance Federation and the Emirates Insurance Association, aimed at strengthening skills, exchanges and other initiatives beneficial to the insurance industry. insurance in both countries.
The president of the Moroccan Insurance Federation highlighted the need to adapt and strengthen the networks of agents and brokers, as well as to expand bank offers and explore new distribution channels. Furthermore, Mr. Abderrahim CHAFFAI, president of ACAPS, underlined the importance of digitalization for insurers while remaining cautious in the face of associated cybersecurity risks, mentioning a draft instruction for an effective cybersecurity system.
This event also highlighted the achievements of the United Arab Emirates in the field of insurance, crowned by the signing of the aforementioned convention which will promote professional training and exchanges to improve the insurance industry in Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
