Giffoni Valle Piana, entrepreneur Giuseppe Rinaldi dies

The Picentina community is crying Giuseppe Rinaldi, far-sighted and visionary entrepreneur, who died at the age of 87. In recent times, various ailments have kept him away from his company, which has become a world leader in the production of mattresses. Yesterday morning at the Ruggi hospital the heart of “Don Peppe”. The news reaching the community was greeted with sadness. Lovingly surrounded by his wife and three children Stefania, Piero e Dinowho in just a few years have brought the company to a production and development level with very high numbers and which today has around a hundred employees and exports to over forty countries around the world, positioning itself among the top ten Italian companies in the sector.

And it was Giuseppe Rinaldi who sowed and reaped so much success today, starting in 1955 by starting a business as a clothing trader. Then partner of the “Siriflex” mattress company in the nearby municipality of Montecorvino Rovella. In 1965 he became president of “Olivella”, a wadding production company. “Valflex” was founded in 1984, located in the Chieve hamlet, with a staff of five employees. Then the climb began, in 1994 Rinaldi created “Valflex Snc di Rinaldi Giuseppe & C”, he moved to a new building, passing to a staff of 40 employees with an export of around 40 percent of turnover, therefore he can be considered a pioneer in the industry.

Here is the “Rinaldi Group”, a typical example of a local company which, thanks to careful managerial management, has experienced significant expansion, gaining leadership positions in its particular market segment. Giuseppe Rinaldi was a supporter of many social, sporting and cultural initiatives. He was so proud of his children, Piero is currently the president of the Giffoni Film Festival. Giuseppe Rinaldi’s funeral will be held this morning in the church of San Francesco a Giffoni Valle Piana.
