The National Police specified that during this electoral process, they have carried out 6,984 operational on a national scale. In these interventions, 504 people have been arrested.
One of the arrests took place at the Pedro Zambrano Educational Unit, they were apprehended two people carrying a firearm and a motorcycle was detained.
So far, the uniformed officers have seized 70 firearms y 289 edged weapons. Furthermore, they retained 141 vehicles and 363 motorcycles. Besides, 44 vehicles and 65 motorcycles, reported stolen, were recovered. In venues such as the Salesiano Don Bosco Technical School, in Quito, the uniformed officers placed a metal detector and searched voters’ purses and backpacks.
