PaSoK commented in a critical manner on the statements of Kyriakos Mitsotakis from Brussels on inflation.
According to Harilaou Trikoupi, “the prime minister who has three times in the space of a year assured the citizens that ‘the difficult times are behind us’ regarding accuracy, today identified ‘encouraging’ indications in March inflation”.
It was a clearly ironic remark from PaSoK, as they followed “some … discouraging signs” based on data obtained from Eurostat.
As it was pointed out, “the growth rate of food inflation in Greece compared to the EU was more than fourfold in March. 5.4% in Greece and only 1.2% in the EU”.
“The virtual reality in which Mr. Mitsotakis lives has nothing to do with the painful reality of Greek citizens, who rank penultimate in terms of purchasing power in all of Europe”, they concluded from Harilaou Trikoupis, in the comment they distributed to the press about the placements of the Greek Prime Minister.
