PGA Astronics Continues Forbidden Exports Through Armenia: How Company Bypasses EU Sanctions

The company that specializes in electronics on board aircraft would have continued its exports, which have been strictly prohibited since February 2022 and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Since that date, the European Union has issued a wave of sanctions expressly prohibited export of “Products and Technologies in the Aviation and Space Sectors”

These electronic systems, for which PGA is one of the world leaders, make it possible to manage several cabin equipment: seat operation, lighting and entertainment on board. According to the whistleblower who contacted Le Parisien, PGA Astronics would have earned 4 to 5 million euros of Russian money since the sanctions were imposed.
