(ANSA) – NAPLES, APRIL 21 – Four light earthquakes, the main of which had a magnitude of 2.1, were all recorded in the same minute, at 8.46, with the epicenter in the Campi Flegrei area. The other three tremors, according to the findings of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, were of magnitude 1.9, 1.2 and 1.4. According to the INGV Vesuvian Observatory, we are in the presence of a new seismic swarm characterized overall, so far, by around ten small tremors. The population of the area felt the tremors, but no damage was reported. Precisely in the Campi Flegrei area, a civil protection exercise will be held tomorrow aimed at testing the bradyseismic plan: a test that will only concern the “command posts”, i.e. the municipal and regional structures that must adopt the procedures envisaged in case of “exacerbation” of bradyseism in the Campi Flegrei, and not the population, except for the pupils of four schools in Pozzuoli, Bacoli and the Neapolitan neighborhood of Bagnoli.
