In an interview with the official channels of the Congress of the Republic, Deputy Luis Ventura spoke about his career, his expectations in the Legislature and the work agenda that he intends to promote in that State body.

The deputy stated that he assumes the seat with great expectations and desire to legislate for the benefit of the Guatemalan population, fulfilling a dream after seeing and experiencing the country’s social and political processes from the outside.

“For me it is fulfilling a dream. For many years I have been involved in social processes that seek to transform the reality of the country and clearly the investiture gives me the opportunity to fight for the dream of a different Guatemala,” said the congressman.

In addition, Ventura Urbina reported that he was a student leader at the National Central School of Agriculture (ENCA) -from the age of 16- and in the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of San Carlos of Guatemala -between the ages of 20 and 25-.

“That was where I understood a lot about the problems that our country and our population experience every day,” he commented, who said that he was also part of the Higher University Council (CSU).

In his work as a congressman, the new parliamentarian explained that he hopes to actively participate in the Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Commission. He also wants to be part of the consensus and dialogue that the law mandates within the Legislative Body, aligned with the thoughts of his party.

He took advantage of the space to put himself at the service of the population. “I am very excited to be in the Congress of the Republic and I take this opportunity to put myself at the service of the population and be able to serve them. I understand that my role is to represent, therefore I will need fluid communication to know what the needs of the population are,” he stated.

Representative Ventura Urbina, 34 years old, before becoming a representative, was an advisor to Congressman Duvallier Castañón.
