The children of the Coast have a lesson in legality

Learning the culture of legality: children from local primary schools visited the barracks Carabinieri Of Amalfi which in recent days has hosted several visiting school groups from the primary schools of Amalfi, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Majors, Minors, Ravello, Scala e Sunsetsfor a total of 152 students accompanied by 19 teachers.

Behind the scenes

After receiving some information about the venue, the children were accompanied “behind the scenes” to discover what happens inside a Carabinieri barracks, with the aim of bringing them closer to the institutions and increasing their civic sense. They were shown a “Gazelle“, the car supplied to the emergency service of theArma and used for fast driving in case of emergency. Sirens blared and flashing lights turned on for demonstration purposes and, subsequently, an experience as young investigators in the photo-signalling laboratory where they were able to observe the ways in which fingerprints are acquired. The function of the new single emergency number was then explained to the children.”112” and the importance of always contacting the Carabinieri even just to clarify simple doubts.

The themes

Many legal issues were addressed for the occasion, also with the aim of raising awareness of the pitfalls that can involve them directly or concern some of their peers: bullying, cyberbullying and youth violence. After viewing the film describing the activities carried out by the Carabinieri, there were real moments of direct discussion, debates made up of questions and answers to the questions of the young visitors, to demonstrate how much the figure of the Carabiniere is closer to “their world” than you think. Carabinieri and educational institutions together because, to respect the rules, you must first know them thoroughly, understand their necessity and make them your own from a young age, supporting today’s children in their becoming the adults of tomorrow.
