According to Péter Magyar, politician of the Tisza Party, when they attended law school, Máté Kocsis could mostly be seen in pubs, as well as at the MIÉP, whose youth section was headed by the current faction leader of Fidesz. According to him, this hasn’t changed much since then: he told Telex about Máté Kocsis that he doesn’t work much and spends most of his days, especially the afternoons, drinking champagne and wine.
The faction leader of Fidesz reacted to the statements on Facebook:
PszichoPeti says ugly, baseless things about me, but I was better off than his wife, because he only abuses me verbally. Just don’t let the belt come out!
Máté Kocsis previously said about Péter Magyar that he only owed his well-paying state positions to his wife. However, the government later denied this, so he too had to recant.
“I accept the answer of the ministers, but they accept that it might have occurred to me rightly that there is a connection in the fact that someone can suddenly run a Student Loan Center and a public road operator and everything, then I would be surprised if it was spontaneous. But since the ministers claim that it is so, since they said that, I have not said anything more about it. Even if they think so, I will retract my statement, but let them understand that my suspicions were well-founded,” said Máté Kocsis.
