According to police reports, the man was pronounced dead after being rescued near West 26th Street around 6pm on Monday. He was sent to the medical examiner (OCME) to determine the cause and time of his death, as well as his identity, as reported by Pix11.

In January 2021, human remains were found in a park in Staten Island (NYC) next to a calendar from the year 2005. Months later, it was determined that the bones belonged to a man of short stature (between 4 ’11” and 5′ 5″), possibly Asian or Hispanic, and murdered on an unspecified date. So far, the victim has not been identified and no arrests have been made.

In the fall of 2020, two newborn twins were left for dead in a high-traffic residential area in the Bronx, and more than three years later, no one has been arrested in the case.
