Anna Bryłka: I would vote to leave the EU

Bryłka believes that “for now, we need to show Poles that the costs of Poland’s presence in the EU have increased very dramatically in the last 5 years.”

This is primarily due to the European Union’s climate policy, she said, adding that “no one rules out Polexit.”

You have to be ready for it. I am a supporter of Polish sovereignty and independence, and at the moment the European Union is trying to take this sovereignty away from us, she argued.

This process of federalization (EU – editor’s note) has accelerated very much. Unfortunately, also with the consent of the Polish government and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. What I mean here is the consent to a common EU debt and common EU taxes, from which the entire Reconstruction Fund was financed, and this is one big fraud – she explained. According to the Confederation activist, the common debt and the resulting obligations are to expire in 2058.

When Prime Minister Morawiecki returned from the European Council summit in July 2020, he announced a great success, as billions of zlotys were to flow to rebuild the economy after the pandemic. It turned out that no money flowed, she argued.

This money must be spent intentionally. KPO also includes milestones that introduce obligations such as: tax on owning a combustion car, full contribution towards civil law contracts. There are a lot of obligations there. Even if this money comes in, we have no right to spend it on what the Polish government thinks is needed. We must spend them in accordance with the negotiated purpose, she explained.

Anna Bryłka is the Confederation’s candidate for the European Parliament from the Greater Poland constituency.

I hope that I will be able to convince as many voters as possible to vote for me. I am going to these elections with a message about climate policy, she said.

We have a well-tailored program for the European Parliament elections. We have started the campaign, we are presenting our program demands, we will soon present further elements of the campaign – she added.
