The end of Lance Stroll in F1? The Aston Martin project is built around it, responds Krack – F1sport.cz

Aston Martin boss Mike Krack has commented in China on the speculation regarding the possible end of Lance Stroll in F1.

Within the entire F1 starting field, Lance Stroll’s long-term engagement in the queen of motorsport is probably the biggest controversy.

Although the Canadian had a very successful junior career and has shone in F1 several times (we can mention three podium finishes or pole position in Turkey in 2020), his name is often discussed in connection with whether he deserves a seat in the queen of motorsport.

Stroll, whose father Lawrence is the owner of the Aston Martin team, for which he races, is significantly behind his team-mate Fernando Alonso for the second year running.

In the context of this, there have been several speculations recently that Stroll could end up in F1.

Additionally, when Aston Martin confirmed the extension of Fernando Alonso’s partnership a week ago, the team’s statement left out details about Stroll’s future from the report.

However, it follows from the last words of Aston boss Mike Krack that the native of Montreal will not be leaving anywhere.

“Last week it was mainly about Fernando. But we also know that Aston Martin is Lanc’s home. We know that, and the whole project has always revolved around him, so we’re looking for continuity. I always thought it was very important, so we’ll see in the coming weeks,” said Krack, as quoted by PlanetF1.com.
