Regarding the designation, the Presidency indicated, through a statement, that the work of Luke will be to lead the energy area “with the necessary capacity and firmness to fight against the corruption that was installed in this important sector. He expressed that the problems in the energy area are not due to the lack of technical proposals, but rather to the lack of firmness to “combat corruption and incapacity in the sector.”

Electrical sector in emergency

We have taken this as a decision,” he added.

He said that, as a presidential measure, “to counteract the actions of these miserable people,” the Government will cover 50% of household electricity bills in April.
