In Sonsonate, a man belonging to a criminal group, who was also dedicated to drug trafficking, was captured by elements of the National Civil Police (PNC), as confirmed by the police institution this Thursday.
The suspect was identified as José Rufino Burgos Espinoza, 29 years old, a member of the Acajutla Locos Salvatrucha clique of the MS13 gang, who for many years have intimidated and threatened the population residing in this area of the country.
The capture was made in the Santa Eduviges neighborhood, in Sonsonate. At the time of the capture, the defendant was carrying more than $30,000 in cash. The detainee will be prosecuted for the crimes of illicit groups and illicit drug trafficking.
